This park is nice if you want easy access to the Shenandoah River. It has picnic tables and many locals fish here. Ample parking is available.

Quaint local breakfast place steps away from the house. This is a local favorite that fills up quickly. I recommend getting there on weekends no later than 8am - especially if you have a group larger than 4.

This location is new and convenient to the house. They have wonderful pastries and breads. I also enjoy their cookies. They offer Black Dog coffee which is a local favorite! They are also a convenient place to find other local products.

Great German restaurant and brewery in Shepherdstown (10 miles away). The dining room and bar were recently renovated. There's also a Rathskeller Pub which is a cozy bar and dining area reminiscent of an authentic German pub. There is a fire pit area outside which overlooks the resort pool and Potomac River beyond.

The interior is cozy with the walls covered in state and national park memorabilia. This place is very busy and they do not take reservations. Plan expectations accordingly. Perhaps - eat at irregular times to ensure a shorter wait.
