The atmosphere is great! Very authentic Greek, expect to have plates smashed at your feet, to dance the night away to the Zorba and rolled out the door because you are too full to move! I highly recommend the 5 course Zorba feast.. Delish :D This restaurant has been around for over 15 years. Open lunch and dinner, dinner is way more fun!

The Fajita's, you have to try the Fajitas. Relaxed environment, very consistent and well priced considering it is a Hilton restaurant. Outdoor seating on the river. Open mic nights and acoustic musicians. Just beautiful.

Scenic train and Skyrail take you to a beautiful eccentric village full of arts and crafts, rainforest walking track and small wildlife parks. Of note, the Butterfly Sanctuary and Koala Gardens, if your heart is set on that cuddly koala pic ;)

if you're looking for another 'water' day after your reef tour, I'd recommend Fitzroy Island. It is a little mountainous so has some nice hiking trails, you can hire paddleboards or kayaks and get a bucket of prawns for lunch. The bistro is on the water with spectacular views. My favourite place to come when I want to get away from it all. Snorkeling is not as great as the GBR which is why I recommend it to do as well as a GBR tour

if you're looking for another 'water' day after your reef tour, I'd recommend Fitzroy Island. It is a little mountainous so has some nice hiking trails, you can hire paddleboards or kayaks and get a bucket of prawns for lunch. The bistro is on the water with spectacular views. My favourite place to come when I want to get away from it all. Snorkeling is not as great as the GBR which is why I recommend it to do as well as a GBR tour

The Tanks gets some pretty good local and International bands from all genres. The acoustic inside these buildings is amazing. There are 5 tanks once used in the 2nd world war (like large cement watertanks in the rainforest) and they are used for all sorts of cultural entertainment from concerts, to art exhibitions, to workshops and theatrical performances. Located at the Botanical Gardens and well worth a look if you're into that kind of thing.
