Much easier going down than up! Plan on at least an hour up, 30 minutes to enjoy the top (some people bring a picnic lunch) and 30 minutes down. 2 hour total. Go EARLY for cooler temps. I've hiked this rain or shine, can by a bit slippery, but still OK.

You will receive a map of the area (with good snorkel spots) and receive instruction in basic kayak safety guidelines prior to starting out on the water. Bring lots of sunscreen- we didn't re-apply and got burned. Our kayak flipped twice and everything went in the water. Make sure you securely strap everything in. Shower and bathrooms available.

This is a great stop on your way to and from town (Honolulu). Enjoy the gardens featuring dozens of varieties of pineapples. We enjoyed the maze with our kids, but not so fun after it rains- it will be muddy. Go early before it gets too hot! (*check booklets outside the gift shop for coupons) Feed the Koi in the large pond. Huge gift shop, but pricey. Train ride. try a famous Dole Pineapple Whip.
