Joe T's is located near the stock yards, on the North side, but only about a 15-20 minute drive. Everybody goes to Joe T's for the amazing patio, the margaritas and people watching. There is almost always a line to get in, but you can enjoy cocktails in line while you're waiting and it usually moves quickly. cash only, there is an ATM on site.

The Woodshed is located right on the river, just off of University, about a mile and half from the house. It's a fun atmosphere, outside eating and there is almost always live music.

Press Cafe is also on the river and the food is amazing! They have an upstairs deck for dining and if the weather is nice, it's really enjoyable. They are usually pretty busy, but there are tables out in the large grassy area that is shaded and closer to the river. It's also located right next to Mellow Johnnys bike shop. Lots of cyclist stop here for a bite on their ride around the Trinity Trails.

I don't even like Bar-b-que, and this place is soooo good! It's the only bar-b-qua I've ever loved!

This is a hole in the wall favorite! Live Jazz music while you eat your pancakes or home made biscuits. The owner, Nick, is usually the cook and the lead musician. I would call ahead to see when they are playing, they roll with a spontaneous schedule on most days.

My kids favorite. Not far from the house and great place to grab a quick taco (delicious) and chips & queso.

Benitos has been on Magnolia for probably 30 years..?? The locals love Benitos, its authentic Mexican food and has been featured in Texas Monthly a time or two. One of my favorites.
