It's hard to know where to start!
Sightseeing
Just over a mile away Scolton Manor is a lovely trip out, just on the doorstep and very dog friendly.
It is historically connected with Penty Parc and remains intact as a multi interest public facility. The house it self is a museum to Victorian life with an adjacent tea room serving light lunches, snacks and homemade cakes. Close by is a fully restored walled garden which is much smaller and more formal than Penty Parc! The adjacent stable buildings are now home to the Pembrokeshire Beekeeping Association with an exhibition and honey kitchen where regular demonstrations take place. The site also houses a training apiary where myself and others teach beginners the craft. Taster beekeeping days are available during summer months.
Woodland walks with a sculpture trail, an alternative energy centre, restored signal box / engine and many other features make Scolton well worth a visit.

Stunning any time but particularly good in the evening for sunsets, good fish and chips are available at the far end.

The coast further north of St David's is stunning with many features.
Highly recommend a walk from here to Porthgain with a stop for lunch or supper at either the Sloop or Shed.

Historically fascinating part of the coast with old slate mines and lime kilns.
Highly recommend a walk from here to Abereidy and back passing a stunning beach only accessible by a metal staircase.
Either the Sloop Inn or The Shed serve good quality pub food.

Just north of the garden along the Cardigan Road are the stunning Preseli Hills with many walks and view points of the whole Cardigan Bay and the Irish Coast.

After a scenic drive over the Preseli Hills is this stunning Burial Chamber.
I would recommend continuing a tour through the Gwaun Valley and on to Newport for a lovely day trip.

Another of your closest beaches. Highly recommend a visit at Low tide with a stroll around the headland to the harbour village of Little Haven with it's lovely pubs and cafe. Along the way you will pass the stunning beach only available to access at low tide.

Working your way South of the county don't miss stunning Marloes sands. Lovely food available along the way at Runway's Kiln - do check opening times though!
