Probably our favorite go-to nice sit down restaurant in downtown Freeport! It's always packed, a bit $$, but great pizzas, new American cuisine, and we can never not order the bolognese.

Broad arrow tavern in the Harraseeket Inn is a nice spot to go for a drink and sit at their fire pits in the evening.

An iconic spot for beer fanatics! The OG maine beer company is also more like a campus now! They serve up tasty wood fired pizza along with beer. Recommend reservations and they do close relatively early!

You may need to make a reservation and check their hours, but the owner is a delightful apple fanatic who forages for apples all over Maine to curate special and intentionally hand-crafted ciders. Sit outside among the fowl and order a charcuterie board and you've got yourself a lovely afternoon!

One of my go-to spots to bring out-of-towners. It's a fun, down-to-earth lobster spot. It's also BYOB, and CASH ONLY! They do have an ATM, but best to bring that, too! There are some great seats upstairs directly overlooking the pier. Breathe in the Maine air, breathe out any stress!

Sightseeing
Great flat walking trails in this local state park along idyllic Maine coastline. It does get flooded with visitors on the weekends and sometimes in the summer (Winslow park and wolfe's neck farm make a great alternative when that is the case!).

One of Freeport's hidden gems!! It is primarily a campground, but it has a great beach to explore at low tide and a nice and easy flat walk. Park across from the beach and then go into the woods to find a trail that snakes along the coast to the point. It's just heavenly and where I often walk my dog in all 4 seasons!

Wolfe's Neck is even more than a state park! There is a lovely farm with animals for petting, a CSA and farm store, trails near the water, a little restaurant for breakfast and lunch. And good clamming off the shores!

Take a look on Alltrails for precise trail options, but it's a lovely locals walking trails through old historical farmhouse sites. Our favorite is walking down to the peninsula and mud flats at dusk!

Mast Landing
Nice walks in the woods, you won't see as many people, which we generally like :)
Less of a mountain, more of a lump/bump, but you get nice views and lots of trails walking through the woods.
