If you can handle SPICY food and eat meat, than you should try some Nashville hot chicken! It's a famous food around here for some reason. Party Fowl has some great options. There are many hot chicken places that are more famous, but if you don't feel like waiting in line for a long time, this place works great.

We love animals, and although the Nashville Zoo is small, it's a nice place to spend some time. Get there first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Into plants? Cheekwood botanical gardens is gorgeous. You'll need tickets in advance. My favorite time of year to visit is Spring when the tulips are in full bloom.
