The Governor’s Palace, one of the most significant Historicistic palaces in Rijeka, was built as a business-residential centre of the Rijeka governor. It was designed by Alajos Hauszmann from 1892 until 1893.

Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The H-object was originally built for the needs of the tobacco factory in the 90s of the 18th century. The part that was added between the wings of the building, along Krešimirova street, was created in the 1930s. In the first phase of the arrangement, a part of the ground floor and the first floor were put into operation. primarily for gallery installations. One of the values of the showroom is keeping the floors in their original form, with minimal repairs, which, together with the load-bearing columns, gives the space a contemporary note and patina at the same time.
