Only a 13min drive from where you are staying, Church Road is known for its restaurant, cellar door and amphitheater. The venue holds concerts over the summer months for international artists. Coming up this season: Jack Johnson, Groove Armada, and UB40.

If you haven't been to Te Mata Peak its worth a visit. Just out of Havelock you'll wind up the Te Mata Peak road to the main lookout at the top.
There's also plenty of walking and biking tracks on the mountain too explore.
