Pizza Meccanica is an absolute gem, not only is it the closest pizza joint in Bowden but it’s one of the very few proper pizzerias in Adelaide. You won’t find ham and pineapple here but beautiful wood oven pizzas inspired by those found in Naples. Buon appetito!

Want to taste some fantastic Australian wines without travelling out to the Barossa or McLaren Vale? Then take a short walk down Drayton Street to Oddio. Open Fridays and weekends it’s a great spot to taste some excellent wines and soak in the atmosphere of the converted 1800’s church.

Bowden is the best place for public transport in Adelaide
It's only ever a short walk to the Bowden Railway Station, Port Road Tram Stop or one of the many bus services which run along Hawker Street and Port Road. E-scotters and e-bikes are available from the edge of the parklands and can be ridden all the way into the City.
Adelaide airport is about a $15 uber depending on the day, similar to Interstate Railway Station.

Where to buy groceries
The closest place to buy groceries is the IGA at Plant4 however which is great for a picking up your missing ingredient.
If you are up for a short cycle or uber ride there is a Woolworths at the Brickworks shopping centre at Thebarton is best for your weekly grocery shop.
If you are heading into the City there is a Coles, Woolworths and Foodland, just make sure you only buy what you can fit on the tram.
