Rideshares and scooters are the fastest way to travel
While some places are walkable (there are a couple of coffee shops within a 10-15 minute walk nearby), it's often pretty warm and humid in Austin so you may want to call a ride. Both Lyft and Uber are available in the area. There are also scooters available to rent. I have a bike in the laundry room that may also be used to get around to nearby places - just make sure you lock it up securely if leaving it unattended!

Sunny weather!
It's usually pretty sunny and warm in Austin unless you're traveling during the winter months like January and February. It would be helpful to pack sunglasses and hats, as well as comfortable clothing and shoes to stay cool.
