Wonderful apple farm experience with cafe, ice cream venue and gift shop. This is tucked away between Exeter and Hampton and would be a great place to visit while in these areas.

Dog friendly fort along Kittery's coast. This is on the way to Fort Foster and worth a short stop. It is a defensive fortification officially established in 1808.

Amtrak Downeaster train will take you to Boston or Portland. Both are within an hour's travel by car from Madbury. The train, however, is affordable, convenient and stress free. There is also a station in Durham on the north size of campus.
