A popular local hike up to the top of Pilot Butte - great views.
Some enjoy the rural trip to see this geological marvel. It is not "exciting", but it is beautiful. There is a nice look-out as well as hiking opportunities. Some with kids may also wish to drive on to the fossil museum.

Our friends Mindy and Ron have the closest convenience store and gas station...and they have great chicken strips and jojos if you want take-out! Don't forget to stop in at Jordan's fruit stand too!
