Another brewery--the sibling of the Mountain Sun. About a 20 minute drive from the apartment. Bigger, a few more brews, and a fancier version lies just downstairs in "Below the Sun"... Worth the visit.

The absolute closest breakfast spot, and quite good! I recommend the Santa Fe burrito. The coffee is great. A very local spot. A 5 minute drive from the apartment.

A larger version of the Walnut Cafe in Central Boulder, same great breakfast. Big picture windows, friendly, fast service and a nice Boulder vibe with amazing coffee.

The closest grocery store to the house--5 minutes away. They have all the essentials and a few more items. There is a liquor store here as well as a cafe, coffee shop, bakery, and my favorite Chinese take out food, China Gourment (cash only!).

Sightseeing
Worth the drive up--take Lefthand Canyon to the Peak to Peak Highway and enter into Estes Park the less common way. When you return, come back through Highway 7, South St. Vrain Canyon--my absolute favorite motorcycle ride. Super beautiful!

The closest ski resort--even has bus service (cheaper than paying for gas!) directly to the chairlift. My favorite CO resort, but I'm biased.

No visit to Boulder is complete without a drive along the Peak to Peak Highway. You can take a break in Nederland (a funky, fun small town with several good eating options) at the heart of the Peak to Peak, which runs from the casinos in Blackhawk to the gateway of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park.

No visit to Boulder is complete without a drive along the Peak to Peak Highway. You can take a break in Nederland (a funky, fun small town with several good eating options) at the heart of the Peak to Peak, which runs from the casinos in Blackhawk to the gateway of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park.
There are at least 3 stables (Jackson's, Glacier Creek and Elkhorn) in Estes Park that have organized horse rides. Guests have used several of these and have had good outcomes!

Hard to define The Goat... A cafe first, but then there is live music most nights. You could also find a poetry reading here as well. A fun spot, many locals hang out here. Lots of artists.

This is an incredible spot. Great place for food or just full service tea. If you're going to try the tea, get their house chai--an amazing recipe that will make you sweat! Here is a description of the tea house taken directly from the Dushanbe website: "The ceiling of the Teahouse was carved and painted with intricate patterns traditional of Persian Art. The teahouse ceiling was originally built, carved and painted in Tajikistan. Absolutely no power tools were used in the original construction. The work was crafted by hand exactly as it was centuries ago. Inside the Teahouse, there are 12 intricately carved cedar columns. These, were sent from Tajikistan with the original gift. No two columns are alike."

Boulder's premiere book store--the last one standing, really! Several stories of browsing. A great, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. If you're looking for a book you've never even thought of before, visit the Boulder Book Store. You can pair this with shopping, dining out, bar hopping, etc., on Pearl Street.

Iconic Boulder: great local spot to hike. Very popular, but you can get off the beaten path by not hiking straight to the Flatirons! Be different: take the Enchanted Mesa Trail or Bluebell-Baird. Flagstaff Trail is one of my favorites--not many people on these routes.

The closest place to jog/run is just 7/10ths of a mile from the house. I usually drive down as it is a 600-foot elevation gain to get back home. Sorry airbnb can't map it! Just drive back down the hill, and when you get to the first pedestrian light, turn right into the parking lot with the sign that says, "Fourmile Creek Trailhead". Nice running, very scenic, and if you go due south you will run into Wonderland lake.

Just drive back down the hill, and when you get to the first pedestrian light, turn right into the parking lot with the sign that says, "Fourmile Creek Trailhead". Nice running, very scenic, and if you go due south you will run into Wonderland lake.
This is a beautiful hike with amazing front and back range views--north side of the main parking lot. It tends to get a little crowded, especially on the weekends. Try the Anemone Trail also--the trail south of the main Sanitas parking area. This is a much more gentle trail with slightly less elevation gain (<1000 feet) than Mt. Sanitas.

Try the Anemone Trail also--the trail south of the main Sanitas parking area. This is a much more gentle trail with slightly less elevation gain (<1000 feet) than Mt. Sanitas.
An amazing place to spectate rock climbing or to do some yourself. There are also several hikes from this area as well as a natural springs pool that should be fully operational again in the summer of 2023 (see separate listing for Eldorado Spring Pool).

Pearl Street is more than shopping. A beautiful walking mall full of street performers, live music, restaurants (fancy to take out), Colorado's most intimate bookstore, and just about everything else. Worth an afternoon or evening.
