This is actually a dairy farm with a wonderful coffee shop attached - there is also a farm shop next to the cafe with lovely country goods and produce from the farm such as ice cream and yoghurt.

Amazing venue located in the old part of Stirling close to the Castle at the top of the town. Created in what was the old Jail! Really good line up of bands and music here - predominantly folk music but I saw a hip-hop act here recently!

Great, friendly local with a pool table, small bar and wee restaurant attached. You can also eat in the bar area or outdoors.

Sightseeing
Really beautiful Castle and well worth seeing (in my view better than Edinburgh Castle) - lots of Scottish history, and they always have events on. A must-see. Don't miss the beautiful walks around the bottom of the Castle and around 'Kings Knot' . You can park for free at the 'Knot' and walk into town via the lovely paths at the foot of the Castle. Always events on at the Castle too!

Dunblane is just a lovely rural town in Stirlingshire - there are also really good cafes and restaurants here as well as wonderful walks around the town and a visit to the cathedral is a must. Great spot for souvenir shopping. You can also park right next to the train station and get the train directly into Edinburgh for a day trip.

Great exhibition of the Battle of Bannockburn here - amazing 3-D interactive exhibits lots to do - has a great wee cafe too and don't forget to get your photo taken with Robert the Bruce outside!

Great Arts Centre - always lots on including comedy, theatre, exhibitions and workshops. Really good cinema here too plus the cafe does great food!

This is the nearest supermarket and petrol station. Not many petrol stations to the West of the cottage - this is the best place to fill up. Large supermarket open late - also right next door to a McDonalds. Sainsburys also has a cafe and a pharmacy.
