Nicole's is Swiss and runs her ranch with Swiss precision and lovinglycares for here for her horses. The ranch is located just 5 minutes from Monte Placido. They will take you on both beach and mountain trails. They also offer riding lessons for children

El Limon Water Falls or "Cascada de Limon" is a MUST while in Samana Peninsula. Just 15 minutes from MONTE PLACIDO RESIDENCE. Go tot he falls by horse or simply hike.
This is 1/2 day excusion and well woth it. Take bathing suites and dive in the pool under the falls.

Kite Surfing off the beaches of Las Terrenas
Have you tried it yet? It's blast! The best beach and wind for kite surfing is right down the road, just 5 minutes from MONTE PLACIDO at Playa Portillo on East side of Las Terrenas. We cooperate with local schools. They rent equipment and/or give lessons. For beginners plan on at least 3 days to get the hang of it. The Trade Wind like clock work picks up everyday. at noon.
