We love this place because it really welcomes the family - the kids can't get enough of their spaghetti meatballs and margaritas. It also has a heated terrace so even when it's cold we can sit outside all cosy and have a big bowl of pasta.

This place does make really good coffee, I always use it as it's right next to my bus stop to go to the Kings Road. They also do slightly alternative breakfasts, like avocado on toast with chilli, which is really great

This is a great restaurant, with a pub attached! The food changes daily and the bar serves independent beers and ales. It's not cheap, and you must book, but it's absolutely worth a visit.

This is one of the most iconic restaurants in London, and it's right on our doorstep! Some of the most famous chefs have trained here, but weirdly the atmosphere is more noisy enjoyment of food that unapproachable Michelin star. It is expensive, and booking is essential, but if you have special occasion this is a must. And it's close enough to walk home after consuming some of their great wines!

Some of the most famous chefs have trained here, but weirdly the atmosphere is more noisy enjoyment of food that unapproachable Michelin star. It is expensive, and booking is essential, but if you have special occasion this is a must. And it's close enough to walk home after consuming some of their great wines!

We absolutely love this place because it combines our favourite things - wine, cheese and meats! It has a range of some really great wines, and you can either try a sample or fill your glass. We use it to try loads of wines that we probably couldn't afford to buy by the bottle. The staff really know their stuff, and will encourage you to try wines you might not have chosen on your own. Do book, but you can also pop in too and you may get lucky and get a table.

We are so close to the Thames that it makes an excellent running route. Up to Hammersmith Bridge, down to Putney Bridge and back to our house is a four mile round trip. If you want to run further, then just go beyond Hammersmith bridge to Barnes Bridge and cross there. It's a mixture of cycle path and track, but at all times you're running by the river and it's an amazing way to see how beautiful London is.

This is the most amazing park in London! It has everything the kids need from toddlers to teenagers, from sandpits to skate ramps. My kids can spend hours here, and I can get a great cup of coffee from the on site cafe and read the papers. It's also right on the river Thames so it's absolutely beautiful.

This place is pricey but absolutely excellent for really great meats, breads, treats. I do most of my shopping at Waitrose and then come here for their special cheese counter and charcuterie. Love it
