At the edge of the reef is a soft coral garden, home to various anemone and clownfish. You may also spot an occasional cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, crab or squid. Mollusks, including tritons, cowries, and murexes, like to seek shelter within coral and rock carpets.
Sunabe is usually free of the sudden current changes that characterize other dive sites. Although the winter season brings waves up to six feet high, flat seas are the norm.
