Free: The Burrell Collection is a huge art collection that was donated to Glasgow by shipping merchant Sir William Burrell (1861–1958) and is situated within an impressive modern building in Pollok Country Park on the south side of the city. Note that the Burrell Collection will close in October 2016 for extensive refurbishment.
Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Maxwell and Jardine families, located in Pollok Country Park. It houses a private collection of Spanish paintings, including works by El Greco, Francisco Goya and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. There are also paintings by William Blake, as well as glass, silverware, porcelain and antique furniture. Pollok House is owned by the National Trust and there is an admission fee for non-members. Access to the tearoom, within the original kitchen, and to the gift shop is free.

Pollok Country Park is a country park located in the southside of Glasgow close to the Shawlands area. It has previously been acclaimed as the best park in Britain and in 2008 it was named the Best Park in Europe. Pollok Country Park is famous for its Highland Cattle fold and its Clydesdale Heavy Horses. It also contains the National Trust owned Pollok House and the Burrell Collection (which will close in October 2016 for extensive refurbishment).
