This place is a gem, it has a nice rooftop with a great view over the city and especially St. Isaac Cathedral. It makes sense to visit it during the rainy days as well, though it won't be so magic. Go get a coffee there and enjoy the view.

Their service is awful and coffee sucks, yet people line up there to get their "пышки" (pyshka), which is a local type of donut. This particular place works since 1958 and hasn't changed since then at all, which is probably why everybody is so passionate about it.
