Lake Barrine Tea House is a great place for breakfast, morning tea or lunch. Boat tours of the crater lake are worth taking and their is a 5km walk around the lake for those who are feeling more active. The gardens surrounding the tea house are beautiful and there is a bbq area for those on a tighter budget.

Herberton Historical Village is a beautifully presented open air restoration of a Queensland Pioneer town. The village is interactive with visitors able to sit at a school desk in the old classrooms and lean on the bar in the pub. Tea and scones are available in the tea rooms and coffee shops and the bakery provide lunch in the main town itself.
