This is a Dominican restaurant roughly two blocks away from the apartment. There are two huge TV's if you're into sports, and I highly recommend the sangria.

This spot is about 4 stops away on the L train but I used to work here and it has the best sushi in Brooklyn. I maintain this as a customer turned employee back to a customer again! Order the 'Party bomb' and bring your appetite!

Vegetarian spot here. Not too far form the apartment and good for mornings when you want something more than a bacon egg and cheese from the deli.

Clutch late night spot for that night when you're on the way back home and want to sit down somewhere after hours and have some really good pizza! I think this place closes at 4am so there's never a wrong time for Archie's.

Okay, yes I have Archie's listed as a late night pizza spot; but I recently went to Houdini for the first time and this place ladies and gentlemen is the real deal. Much more upscale than my dear Archie's, this might be the place you take your visiting in-laws to give them the NYC feel; without the grittiness of Bushwick.

Nowadays is an outdoor bar in Ridgewood, a neighborhood right next to mine - when it's warm out, head here for a beautiful time. Dog friendly.

My local watering hole. Go see my boy Zadie on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (you may run into me there). Great guy and drinks here are sensibly priced. Also have the popcorn. It's even good sober!

FKB is a restaurant by day and bar by night. It's got a very creative food menu and the drink menu gets a thumbs up from me also. Nothing like being able to walk somewhere and grab a drink. So good. Trivia nights, jazz nights, movie nights and comedy during the week but don't ask me which day is which! Weekends (Fri&Sat) this place is a party for sure.

This was my first time experiencing a *draft* cocktail bar. Lots of fresh creative spins on classic drinks and the vibe is so cool. I want to say they have an all night happy hour on mondays but don't quote me on that.

The bonus room is awesome because they do a bit of everything here. Live music, game nights etc. - all decently priced as well.
