Within the last five years, the city remodeled this park and took out a pond to create a salmon and otter habitat along Crystal Springs Creek (a year round spring-fed creek). They added a children's nature park that is quite popular.

This hiking and biking trail leaves Sellwood and travels out to Boring, Oregon (17 miles) on a dedicated path with no cars. You pass through a creek and along the path, past a food cart area (Cartlandia) on 82nd and end up in the mountains below Mt. Hood with the blueberry farms and tall Fir trees. Just peaceful and lovely!

Dog friendly park. There is a upper park that has a swimming pool and tennis courts and a lower park along the river. In between is the extension of the Springwater Trail that goes directly into downtown Portland. Lovely view of the Willamette River front and downtown from here.

Portland has several competing organic food stores. New Seasons is one of them. The one is Sellwood is the smallest. There is a larger one close by in Woodstock area. Excellent food to go, high quality meats and fresh fruit and vegetables. It is not inexpensive but you can be assured the food is excellent.

QFC is owned by Kroeger and has fewer natural and organic foods. It is more economical than New Seasons.
