Get there early usually by 8:00am and park free (place for 5 cars only) or arrive later and drop off passengers at beach then park free a half mile away directly across parsons road off Brown Street has more roadside parking. Really nice scenic walk on private road straight to the beach from there about 1/2 mile (0.8 km) Beware of traffic when crossing rte 9 as there is no crosswalk! There is a port potty at the beach that is also maintained.
