There are many outdoor activities in Lamar and Rockport ie., fishing, bird watching, going to the beach,shopping, etc. Local festivities include Sea Fair, Oyster Fest, Market Days, Lamardi Gras and more. Two blocks to water front and boat ramp.

This is a fisherperson's, birding, and ocean lover's dream come true. The small waterfront cabin is on an elevated point overlooking beautiful Matagorda Bay and has its own private, lighted fishing pier. Redfish, Speckled Trout, Drum, crabs and other saltwater fish are abundant around the pier. Dolphins, birds and other sea creatures are everywhere. Ocean going ships navigate the ship channel. Salt air, ocean breezes, gentle waves and star filled nights are the ultimate stress reliever.

The Driftwood

Perfect coastal getaway with a view of Seadrift’s San Antonio Bay. Located at the end of the street with a private canal dock and kayak launch. You’re welcome to use our 3 kayaks. House is built on 15’ piers with the best sunrises and sunsets on the bay. Fishing cleaning station is on the side of the home. 1.8 miles from the Swan Point boat ramp, 17 miles to Port O’Connor, and 33 miles to the Aransas Wildlife Refuge. The canal is tidal influenced so not all boats will be able to dock.

Please note: There are two properties on this lot-a turquoise one and a peach/coral one. This listing is for the TURQUOISE one with two bedrooms. The other listing (Bay View Bungalow) for a peach/coral cabin is managed separately. Enjoy a few days in this quiet, friendly, small Texas town without traffic, noise, or waiting in lines. Whooping cranes ( Oct.-April) and 400 species of birds migrate and live in the area . Deer roam freely . Fishing and boat ramps along the water. State park is a peaceful walk. Rockport a short 9 miles ,lovely drive. No hammock at this time.
