We’re a three unit building, intimate, quiet, and intentionally calm. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, business trips, writing retreats, and longer stays.

Altares a las Montañas

This traditional Oaxacan house, that has four beds, was handcrafted by local artisans in exquisite adobe walls, a shading porch, furnishings and decor. It nestles in gardens of trees and blooming succulents. Guests enjoy multiple level terraces, hammocks, an outside dining area, a 22-meter lap pool and spectacular mountain views. We are in a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and have easy transportation to Oaxaca city (20 minutes). We offer tours to villages and archaeological sites.

Downtown Oaxaca is 7 km away (approx 20 minutes by car). El Tule is 4 km away (approx 7 minutes by car)
