Fishing, tubing, hiking, whitewater, horseback riding you name it, this area has it. You can catch your limit of Rainbow or Browns without starting your car. Hike to waterfalls or do a stretch of the Appalachian Trail.

Our location is also a great spot for hiking, biking and water activities as we are near Fontana lake & NOC. Also a great spot for nature enthusiasts as you can sit on the porch and see lots of wild birds and the ducks in the stream right across the road. On occasion you may see other species of wildlife.

Waterwheel Cabin by the Creek

This rustic two-story newly renovated cabin is right on a creek with a covered bridge and water wheel. Located just 15 minutes from the Harrah's Valley River Casino or beautiful downtown Murphy and just a short drive to John C. Campbell Folk School. There is a propane grill outside with table and chairs for outside dining and also Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the creek. From the downstairs living area, you can look out the windows and enjoy the view of the creek and water wheel.

Our Snowbird Creek Cabin is cool and relaxing. It is just minutes from “Tail of the Dragon”. It is a fly fisherman’s paradise also. Hiking trails and waterfalls abound, or just kick back and relax in the pristine setting of the Snowbird Back Country. We will allow one dog 25 pounds or under to come. No exceptions for bigger dogs. I will request a picture of the dod. The dog will not be allowed on furniture. I live next door, so i will know if my rules are not obeyed.

Fern Hollow is a private real log cabin on a stocked trout stream 11 miles from Murphy, NC. Large front porch where you can listen to the creek from your rocking chair or you can enjoy a fire creekside in the Adirondack chairs. Easily accessed from a paved road... no 4WD required. Convenient to the Cherokee Valley River Casino in Murphy or countless waterfalls and hiking trails. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a $55/per dog pet fee. Limit 2 . Cats are not allowed.

Nearby: golf, horseback riding, tubing, rafting, biking, off roading, antiquing, wineries, breweries, and pristine Lake Chatuge where you can swim, fish, rent a boat, jet ski, kayak, paddle board, or play on the inflatable obstacle course! The cabin is a 3/2.5 and sleeps up to 9 people in super comfy beds!
