Come stay at an old winemakers house that has been beautifully renovated by your host and family with open plan and airy living. Situated on the north side of the island, there is a small bar/cafe in the village which is a 5 minute drive, a large supermarket and many restaurants/cafes in Santana which is a 10 minute drive.The weather can be hot and humid but also bring fresh wind and rain. In the summer months the house stays cools, there is a log burner and plenty of blankets to keep you cosy.

Absorb the amazing views of the northen part of Madeira island, and meet the insides of the Laurissilva by going on walk in "Levada da Origem", located at 100 meters from the house. Near the house there is also a minimarket, where you can meet Mr. José, ask for the local drink, and get to know a bit more about Boaventura.

Old Wine Villa

Welcome to Paradise! Come stay at our cozy Villa with a splendid Atlantic ocean view by the infinity pool! This house was first built in 1932 and since then it has been know as "Casa do Vinho Velho", "The Old Wine House". My great-grand mother used to tell stories about the old man "Vinho Velho" and his passion for his wine and agriculture. The house has been updated but we have kept old features, like an old brick oven in the kitchen and 3 stone rocks for vine hanging in the living room!
