Barn Stay at Shadowbrook Farm

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. If you follow the farm road, you are able to meet every farm animal on the property!

This beautiful, historic Victorian building is on a short walking distance from Franklin Plaza, one of Troy's most popular wedding and events venues. Just remodeled with a balance of classic and modern design, including original brick in the kitchen and large windows throughout, giving this space beautiful natural light and views. We have security cameras in the first , second floor hallway, outside the front door and back door.There is no cameras inside of the listed units.

Nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany, we are the last home on a dead end road and have multiple secluded rentals. We are a homestead devoted to the principles of organic farming and self reliance. We grow much of our own food and forge many types of wild mushrooms. You will be sure to enjoy friendly animals around the farm and a private fenced Koi pond.

Off street parking, free WiFi and breakfast included. My home is a quick 5 min walk to Emma Willard School, 1.5 miles to RPI, and 2 miles to Russell Sage College.
