Despite accolades from esteemed international design and travel publications (which it has from Monocle, Dwell, Travel + Leisure and many more), this perfectly designed and laid out home isn’t about pomp; it’s about simplicity and reliance upon the natural environment that surrounds it. That was the point when it, and a handful of others, were built in the mid 1960’s to showcase Northern California’s famed Sea Ranch project —and the way humans might one day find a better way to live with nature.

Experience all The Sea Ranch has to offer when you stay at our modern Sea Ranch home in a light-filled living space with golden meadow views. Our family-friendly home with 2BR + kids loft / 2BA is located at the north end of Sea Ranch. We are a block to the 7-mile Sea Ranch Bluff trail that spans along the entire Sea Ranch coast and a 5 minute drive to the town of Gualala (stores and restaurants) as well as Gualala State Beach, Del Mar Rec Center, and Sea Ranch Golf Course (currently closed).

Historic Baker House available for the first time

As seen in Dwell, Turnbull's Baker House is a Sea Ranch classic Binker Barn resting on 2 acres of redwoods. While it was built in 1968, it's been updated to make sure you have everything you need for a private and relaxing stay: the separate office has monitors and 300+ Mbps internet, the kitchen is fully-equipped, and the garage has a level 2 EV charger and a Peloton. Enjoy the outdoors year-round from the hot tub or the Galanter & Jones heated furniture that overlooks the forest and ocean.

SeaHorse Retreat: ocean views, tall trees, privacy

A private Sea Ranch hide-a-way set high on a hill with views of the Pacific Ocean and the equestrian center. This home offers stunning sunsets from the deck and bright coastal stars from the large hot tub. 6 adults max (8 total guests) will enjoy the 2 large bedrooms and one fun bunk room that sleeps 4 children. The house sports air hockey, cornhole, and other games for family fun. You can explore the coast, walk the bluffs and enjoy the Sea Ranch community pools, tennis courts and saunas.

Private and spacious redwoods retreat at Sea Ranch

Tucked away in the redwoods, this newly furnished home is a serene retreat at Sea Ranch. It enjoys near-total privacy on three acres of forest, plus the sound, smell and sight of the ocean through a gap in the trees on a clear day. The main room and the master bedroom are spacious, with views of the forest from every angle. Eagle's Nest Treehouse Farm Stay

Eagle's Nest Treehouse Farm Stay is a tranquil, secluded, luxurious, romantic wilderness experience in a private forest on a 400 acre working ranch. Thirty feet above the forest floor you are nestled in a gorgeous, well-appointed suite of 1,000 year old polished redwood, with bathroom and amazing copper/glass forest-view shower. Balina: ocean views, hot tub, pets OK, remodeled

Balina is a home on the meadow with ocean views. It is a beautiful location for a relaxing getaway with friends and family. You can sometimes see whales from the deck during whale watching season, which is why the house was named "Balina," Turkish for "whale," by a previous owner. The bluffs are a 5 minute walk from the house with close access to multiple beaches. We currently stay at Balina every other month ourselves, and we care about the condition of the house very much.
