Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our 2 tiny houses are in the midst of agricultural landscapes on a horse farm 400 meters from one of the best surf beaches around. The container unit is private only for you. Its entrance is via the the subroom. This sunroom, as well as laundry space, garden and backoffice / storage space is shared with the other unit (2pax) Our local community also offers a small local beach bar, a pizza place and a micro brewery & hamburger restaurant.

Our apartment is located in the heart of Quinta da Beloura near Sintra, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Surrounded by golf camps, you will be close to historic monuments and the beloved cities of Cascais and Lisbon. Linger in the light-flooded living room or on the large sun terrace with breathtaking views.
