The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

Up on the Laurel’s Dongola Cabin is a secluded, compact 384 square foot cabin designed to be a place for recreating, writing, relaxing and star-gazing. It sits on the south side of Iron Mountain in the Jefferson National Forest’s Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and takes in the scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. Its proximity to sites and towns of middle Appalachia, along with its fresh water, fresh air and relaxed pace make our cabin a lovely spot to visit.

Campside Cottage--a vacation retreat located across from Camp Burson at the entrance of Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. Relax around the campfire, hike or bike the many trails. Lounge on the beach with a good book, or cast your line to catch a big one! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains while paddleboarding or kayaking Hungry Mother Lake.
