The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest house situated under sprawling live oak trees. The suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. Historic Beach Cottage 700ft to ocean #singlestory

This is a true {mid-century modern} historic and classic cottage. It was built in 1956 by Frank Stick. Frank was a local artist and developer and started the “flat-top” movement in Southern Shores. We have worked hard to modernize this classic and bring it back to life with some fun twists! The porch is our favorite feature. It is 1200 sq feet of screened in, relaxing bliss. Outside family dinners and corn hole tournaments are our family’s way of relaxing at this sweet cottage!

Peaceful retreat attached to a family home and nestled in live oaks on a one-acre lot, perfect for your OBX getaway! Easy self-check in, separate entrance, separate HVAC system, California King bed, a private deck and private covered porch. The guest suite includes a bedroom, bathroom, and screened-in breezeway with mini fridge and microwave. Guests are provided with two beach bikes and parking pass to our private community beach access, a 10 minute walk away.

Original 1954 Southern Shores flat top which has been completely renovated. You will have the entire first floor. Owners added a second story and reside upstairs. Very private with a separate entry. Just a short walk of 1/4 mile to the beach. House includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, full kitchen and covered front porch. 50 inch tv with roku, WiFi. There is a private back yard and an outside shower. 2 parking spaces for guests.

Our apartment is located on the first floor of our home, which is one of the only Solar Powered homes in the Outer Banks! Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and a short bike ride or drive to the sound, we have a perfect location which is close to everything. Our space includes the use of our outdoor shower and beach parking passes. We have a great yard for lounging, sun bathing or playing with dogs. Come and check out our "Cave" by the waves!
