Kick back and relax in this quiet, calm, stylish space. Self-contained and removed from the main house. Enjoy rural New Zealand at its best. No loud traffic noise, just hens quietly clucking, the occasional baa of sheep or a farm dog doing its work. Yet you're only 15 minutes from the city of Whangarei with its cafes and restaurants, the world-famous Hundertwasser Museum, the Clapham Clock Museum and the fantastic range of boutique shops and food outlets at the Town Basin.

Treehouse in the Forest Canopy | Reclaimed Kauri

Wild Forest Treehouse Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build Wild Forest Treehouse. A space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

Woolleys Retreat embodies down-to-earth luxury, immersed in the natural beauty of the Tutukaka coastline. We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.

This gorgeous house is built right in the boughs of the trees reconnecting you with tales like the Lord of the Rings and the Magic Faraway Tree. Take an adventure into this dreamy dwelling that's nestled in its own private stand of native trees. This quiet getaway is not far from the city, and based on our secluded 28 acre property. Breakfast items are also provided for you to prepare at your leisure.
