The location is brilliant, overlooking Acacia Bay’s popular swimming and kayaking bay. Walk to the water in two minutes. The boat ramp is a short two min drive and we are seven minutes by car to Taupo township. The perfect spot for your next break. The views are amazing! A special Kiwi experience!

“WOW, the view - the photos don’t do it justice” say guests on arrival, and it’s true. The view will take your breath away day and night. Only a few hundred metres walk to Acacia Bay Beach to swim (or fish for trout) in the super clean freshwater lake. Oh, and the peace and quiet from this side of the lake. The cottage is modern, comfortable, & fully self-contained inc WM, drier and laundry powder. Only 7km to Taupo town centre so close enough to experience all Taupo township has to offer.

Situated close to the town centre, lake front, hospital and within easy commute to the Taupo motorsport park. Set in a forest like garden and on the boarder of an attractive reserve you can enjoy your own sunny and secluded space waking up to the sound of the birds. Take a 5min stroll to our popular bar/restaurant or grab a takeaway and finish the evening with a soak in the hot pool.

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Two Sliding doors open to a private deck (can be enclosed) with a kitchen (hotplate, pot, frypan, coffee machine, tea, and milk in a small fridge), fireplace, private bathroom, and a stunning view from the outdoor bath and shower (hot water). A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We’re a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront :-)
