The farm on which the cottage is situated is surrounded by the Marakele National Park. Various animals roam the farm freely. There are trails suitable for all walking or running abilities. Star gazers have perfect views of the night sky. Perfect retreat for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life, and reconnect with nature. Pool, fireplace and treehouse deck.

The Seed Pod

The Seed Pod, This is a typical farm house located under a well established canopy of giant thorn trees old gnarled lead-wood and has a stunning view of the southern side of the Marakele National Park Mountains. Around the house there are numerous animals such as Nyala, Sable and Impala not to mention all the bird life. We have a caterer available should you wish someone to cook for you on your behalf. Just bring your own food. R450 extra per day in cash. Booking well in advance is essential

Bushbabies Nest at Luara Wildlife

The Bushbabies' Nest was created for guests to have an 'under the stars' lodging experience in the bushveld. This adventurous and eco friendly accommodation consists of a 6 meter-high wooden structure. On the ground level you can find a 'bush kitchen' facility, the bathroom and also an outdoor barbeque area and a splash pool that has a spectacular view of wildlife that graze upon the savannah. 1st floor consists of a luxury tent and and the top level is where you can lay and admire the stars!

COME AND ENJOY an off-grid luxury camping experience in the beautiful Thabazimbi bushveld. View the game in the sunset/sunrise from the stunning raised deck or in the lovely dip pool and experience the stunning 360 scenic views of the Kransberg mountains and surrounding hills. There are two adjoining camping pitches to bring guests with you. (Please contact host to make arrangements with host.) Fully solar, off grid. 4x4 required for rainy months, as the farm roads can get extremely muddy.

Leeupoort Plaashuis

Leeupoort Plaashuis is a spacious self-catering house located in the Leeupoort Vakansiedorp, ideal for guests looking for a bush escape. The perfect gem of the Bushveld The main bedroom contains a single and double bed and a hand basin. The second bedroom contains a double. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds, while the fourth bedroom is upstairs and contains a double bed. Linen and bedding are provided, but guests required to bring their own bath and swimming towels. Splash pool

Off grid mountain cabin with endless views

The mountain cottage is a unique, remote and romantic place to disconnect, enjoy spectacular sunsets followed by an evening of star gazing. High up in the Waterberg mountains this eco cottage operates on solar power and relies on rain water harvesting, whilst battery operated lamps are provided for light. The cottage is best reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle; alternatively arrange for us to fetch you at the gate to take you. Join us and switch off, very limited connectivity only.

If you are a nature lover and feel you need a rest from the hustle and bustle. If getting in touch with your surroundings and back to basics is paramount? Then this is the place for you. Three rooms, one of which is a family room . Nice big tub in bathroom to soak away all your worries. Genuine rail road Rhodesian teak bar overlooking the animals over the porch. At night you light up a fire to set the therapeutic ambiance of the fire dancing into motion. You will not want to leave.

Klipsand Tent Camp

Klipsand Tentcamp is nestled at the foot of the majestic Waterberg mountains and the Marakele National Park in the Thabazimbi bushveld. Lots of free roaming game, abundant birdlife and an expansive night sky makes this a nature lover’s delight. This is the ideal getaway from the noise of the city. Matopos is a rustic rock-and-wood cabin set within a wild syringa forest on Grootfontein Private Reserve. Surrounded by nature and mountain views, it’s a quiet space to slow down and settle in. The cabin features two en-suite bedrooms, a simple kitchenette, comfortable lounge, and braai facilities. Outdoors, unwind in the wood-fired hot tub and take in the stillness of the surrounding bush.
