Our ranch is close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, Medora Musical, Maah Daah Hey trail and restaurants. We offer a different experience than you will get it Medora. The ranch is a peaceful retreat while being an easy 8 mile drive from town. Guests routinely tell us the ranch rivals the national park for scenery and its right out their door. Medora is also home to the famous Medora Musical, Bully Pulpit Golf Course, Maah Daah Hey Trail, and Sully Creek State park.

Lone Butte Ranch-Cedar Post

The Cedar Post was built in 2021. This log cabin is one of 3 cabins located on our working cattle ranch. We are located in the heart of the Badlands, only 14 miles south of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit, and 65 miles north of the TRNP South Unit. We have miles of hiking trails or riding trails if you prefer to bring your horses. This secluded cabin has it's own private hot tub and all your modern amenities but still has that rustic feel.

The log cabin is located in an isolated area of the North Dakota Badlands, about halfway between the North and South Units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Rustic on the outside but modern on the inside, the cabin is decorated in traditional western decor (including extensive animal mounts). We offer the comforts of home in a setting almost too rugged to be imagined.
