When your lei is wilting or you no longer want to wear it, go lei Duke! His open arms are where you go to donate your lei. Duke was a hero of Hawaii and his statue is quite the sight in the middle of Waikiki.

On Kuhio Beach, a bronze statue of Duke Kahanamoku welcomes you to Waikiki with open arms. Duke Kahanamoku is a world famous Hawaiian hero and one of the world's greatest watermen, a master of swimming, surfing and outrigger canoe paddling. Many tourist and locals love to come to this beach to relax, surf, and of course take pictures with Duke's statue!
