I'm not a "museum person," and yet our William King Museum has blown my mind & excited my heart on many occasions. Very interesting, unique, and can't beat the central & beautiful location... well worth a visit!

As a small but large museum the William King is able to attract surprisingly diverse shows that might otherwise pass through Abingdon. Add to this the beautifully curated shows they develop as well as their own legacy collection on permanent display and it is a perfect place for a rainy or cold day. On the lower floor and in the Space Labs building beside the main building there are artist-in-residence studios, some with art for sale.
