The only glacier you can visit on foot in Southeast AK. 15 min drive from house. Check out the visitor's center for interpretation info, programs, and hiking around the area. Highly recommend hiking to the waterfall and soaking in all those positive ions!!

Easily accessible via road. Absolutely amazing views and the huge waterfall, Nugget Falls is something to be seen. Check out the visitor center it will provide all the info you need about the glacier.

The famous Mendenhall Glacier is a must when visiting Juneau. It's a nice 2 mile walk or bike ride on either a paved bike path or nice gravel trail from Grandma's Suite, Gramdma's Room, Glacier Guest Room, and Gold Nuggett. It's 3 miles from Granite Getaway, and Thunder Mountain Place, 4.5 miles from Shangri-La, 5.5 miles from Harbor Haven and Auke Bay and Suite View. You can visit the glacier on your own, or as part of an Excursion. I recommend The Best of Juneau tour which includes whale watching, the Gold Creek Salmon Bake, and the Mendenhall Glacier.
