Royale is Portland's best kept brewing label secret. Brewed in Kenton this is great value, expertly poured beer. BYO food to the tap room and you can eat and drink in a relaxed patio environment. Right near Forest Park and St Johns Theater so double it up with a hike, movie or both!

Very Portland. Great mixed drinks and beer on tap. You have to earn a smile from the bartenders, but worth the effort. Dogs are welcome and almost outnumber the two-legged. The owner is Irish and so if there is a football match (soccer) you can guarantee it will be on the TV.

My fav bar in St Johns. Delicious original sophisticated cocktails that you can sip by the communal fire pit outside and eat your ramen or pizza from next door.
