As soon as you step out of the tube station, Brixton welcomes you in a way that only Brixton can. It’s busy, with diverging streams of people flowing in every direction, and it’s loud, with buskers and, fairly regularly, an impromptu dance party. Put simply, it’s an exciting place to be. It’s home…
Unique area in London with Jamaican vibes, street food, dance halls and live music.
Great and vibrant place where to spend your nights life in London. The Caribbean heritage is present and this is fantastic!
Brixton is vibrant and diverse. Busy and full of creativity. Cinema, Black Cultural Archives, shopping and lots of amazing food and drink in the market and all around near the Underground Station.

“15 mins walk, and your on the famous Northcote Road, where you can shop in little stores and find anything you want to eat and drink at any time of day. Very popular with the 'youngish adults' and your families.”

“A really good brunch spot, located 3-4 minutes walk away from the flat. They make great fresh baked goods (banana bread with espresso butter is my favourite!), and do cooked dishes like avocado and eggs on homemade sourdough, breakfast burrito etc. Staff are really friendly and it's a very cool vibe. It's not huge (maybe sits 30), so often a short wait is needed if visiting between 11am and 1pm on a weekend. If you want more space, visit Blackbird or Chalkpit (also recommended in my guide).”

“Smaller than Tooting Common but it has a brand new playground. If you can, take a stroll to the top where you’ll find The Rookery, a very beautiful walled garden with a monthly farmers market. A great spot to let the kids run around. There is also a really good cafe up there for coffee, ice cream and lunch.”

“Central line (Red) to Liverpool Street. Then it's a short walk to the Old Spitalfields Market where you can buy all sorts of artisanal "arty" ""crafty" gifts. From there head off to Brick Lane famous for its curry houses and retro clothing/bric-a-brac. If you want an original Beatles LP this is the place to go. On Sundays you can carry on to Colombia Road flower and plant market. Great just to see what's on offer.”
