Great place to visit for a few hours. Lovely grounds, shops and places to eat. Recommend you also visit and walk up to Bellmount Tower, a folly built on top of a hill with some lovely views and a nice wood where you can walk your dog(s) If you need some fun activities for your kids then they also host a Summer of Sport, free summer activity sessions led by inspire+ On every Tuesday from 13 July - 31 August. Registration opens on-site at 11:30am on the day. 30-minute sessions are available for 2-5-year-olds and 45-minute sessions for 5-11-year-olds on Tuesday afternoons. 13 July - Sports skills 20 July - Playground games 27 July - Cricket 10 August - Rounders 17 August - Athletics 24 August - Basketball 31 August - Tag Rugby

Belton is often cited as being the perfect example of an English country-house estate. Owned by the National Trust it has lovely grounds and walks and is just outside Grantham.
