A few days after D-Day in 1944, the Nazis destroyed the entire village of Oradour killing 642 men, women and children. This is a haunting place, one that makes you think and appreciate. This is a village that was hit by the SS German soldiers in WWII by mistake. The village has been left entirely as it was as a remembrance of the horror of war. This is about 45 min drive from me THIS IS A MUST SEE
