Tippek a helyiektől
This is just down from Desert Museum for a long day trip see both. Many westerns you have seen were filmed here and the surrounding deserts.
Our very own wild west amusements town, I haven't been out there for a good long while, but used to be a lot of great fun with stunt shows, gun slinging, panning for gold, old time photos, saloon show, fake western town, where many films are shot.
The legend of the Wild West lives on through the streets of Old Tucson. Guests can enjoy live Wild West entertainment including gunfights, stunt shows, and musical revenues-any day of the week. Food, souvenirs, and guided tours highlight the park scenery and movie history.
Many a John Wayne Western was filmed here. Now kind of an amusement park? A good drive, close to Gates Pass for a sunset!

“Museum is a misnomer. This is really a nature park, dedicated to all things desert. You'll find all sorts of plants and animals and leave with a great overview of our world. We highly recommend the Raptor Show, which only happens during the cooler months.”

“Much smaller than big city botanical gardens but lovely to stroll through. Another nice way to get outside. ”

“"The White Dove of the Desert" is a must see. One of my favorite sites to visit in Tucson. Go inside the church, peek into the chapel, walk around and admire the architecture, cute gift shop. Eat Indian Fry Bread prepared by a native from the Tohono O'odham tribe fried on an open air mesquite grill as you order. Climb up to the top of the hill and overlook the city. I've grown up in Tucson and going here is still a treat for me. So close to town and something you don't want to miss.”
