Locals and others sell old, new and china stuff. It's 100% that you can get good dry fish and shark there.
Kolaportið flea market, located in a large warehouse just by the harbour. 2nd hand clothes, old books and records, stamps, food and more.
Reykjavik's only market is a place worth experiencing. Here you can buy new and old items, music, food and Icelandic delicacy like dry fish and liquorice. Open weekends, 11-17.
Nice place to get a taste of dry fish, shark and other delicious foods and candy. Also if you want to buy the famous lopapeysa (icelandic wool sweater) this place probably has the best prices.
If you are ever on the hunt for eccentric Reykjavík oddballs, Kolaportið Flea Market on a Saturday afternoon is probably your best bet. You will also find families looking to pass some time, old ladies in fur coats, hipsters looking for second hand clothing and tourists looking at all the others…
you will find gems in this place , anything from harđfiskur ( dryed fish)and kleina(icelandic doughnuts)to second hand lopapeysa (wool sweater) or vintage tresures

“The Icelandic Phallological Museum is probably the only museum in the world to contain a collection of phallic specimens belonging to all the various types of mammal found in a single country. Phallology is an ancient science which, until recent years, has received very little attention in Iceland, except as a borderline field of study in other academic disciplines such as history, art, psychology, literature and other artistic fields like music and ballet. Now, thanks to The Icelandic Phallological Museum, it is finally possible for individuals to undertake serious study into the field of phallology in an organized, scientific fashion.”

“Leaving your bags at one of the storage facilities in downtown Reykjavik is both an easy and convenient way to travel light while exploring Iceland´s capital. Steel luggage lockers and video surveillance, make you feel safe leaving your luggage behind and you don´t have to worry about losing any keys. The self service lockers are located in central Reykjavik, within easy walking distance from most of the centrally located hotels, restaurants and sights. There is no need to store your bags in unsafe hotel back rooms or behind the counter where others can access your items. Storing your baggage in the luggage lockers is safe and easy.”
