C’est au tout début du 19e siècle (1801) que commence l’histoire du Crocodile. L’Eglise met en vente cette propriété dont il se murmure qu’elle abritait un couvent. Un des soldats de Napoléon, le Capitaine Ackermann, tout juste rentré de la campagne d’Egypte, s’en porte acquéreur. Parmi les trésors ramenés du Nil figure un crocodile empaillé, lequel se trouve toujours dans le restaurant. Le restaurant Au Crocodile est distingué dans le Guide Michelin et a obtenu une Etoile ! It was at the very beginning of the 19th century (1801) that the history of the Crocodile began. The Church is selling this property which is rumored to have housed a convent. One of Napoleon's soldiers, Captain Ackermann, just returned from the Egyptian campaign, acquires it.
