Carranca is a beautiful place. Our apartment was comfy, and we arrived to find some wine and homemade cookies waiting for us. The bedding was very comfortable. Our host gave us good directions to the local sights. Alice cooked us a delicious dinner with perfect wine pairings. Breakfast was a delicious spread of homemade scones, breads, ham, and cheese. We wished we had stayed longer.

Words can’t describe how great this place is. Rita and Alice are outstanding hosts and their property is beautiful. I would recommend visiting Evora while in Portugal if only to stay here. The cabin was so beautiful and peaceful. The pool is amazing, and the dogs are very sweet. My biggest recommendation is order the food - we ordered dinner the first night and decided immediately to order again for the second night. I echo the reviews of others with a few additional notes: excellent a/c, great shower with hot water and strong water pressure, very quiet for sleeping. Tremendous breakfast and dinner at the property with hosts who respect your privacy. Great stay!

Rita provides a very comfortable stay in a rural setting outside of Evora. She provided for all our needs, including breakfast with freshly made scones, granola, orange juice and fruit plate. Rita is very friendly and warm and made us feel quite at home.

What an amazing, relaxing place to stay. Location is great, far enough out of the city to be so very quiet, tranquil. Spacious, with a pool! Our two seven year olds loved it. We didn't want to leave! And I haven't even mentioned the meals prepared on site. Fantastic! Do not hesitate to ask Alice to prepare dinners for you. This place was amazing! 10min drive to Evora, on a beautiful private farm. We stayed in the guesthouse, which was very clean and comfortable (and had a very special gift for us on our honeymoon!) If offered their menu for dinner — highly recommended you take it! Every course of our meal was absolutely delicious, and hand-prepared by one of the the lovely hosts, Alice! It was a pleasure to meet Rita and Alice, and would love to go back ASAP!

Don't pass up the opportunity to have Alice and Rita prepare you dinner - it is better than anything we've had at a restaurant while we've been away - our only regret is that we didn't have them prepare dinner for both the nights we were here. Breakfast was good as well with pancakes one morning and scones the next with fresh fruit, meat, cheese and bread of course. Die beste Unterkunft auf unserem 2 wöchigen Roadtrip durch Portugal. Rita ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin mit einem wunderbaren Humor. Poolarea ist herrlich, das Frühstück ganz schön gut - perfekt zum entspannen oder als Basis zum die Umgebung erkunden. Die zwei Hund sind zwar riesig, aber äusserst friedlich und meist von der Hitz k.o. Meine Freundin hat normalerweise irre Angst, aber diese zwei waren kein Problem.
