This quaint, cozy, historic home located in downtown Carver is the prime location for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy some of that small town fresh air. Explore our little town’s historic homes and shops, walk the trails of the wildlife refuge right out the backyard, or take off on your bike down the river bike trail that crosses right behind the house. This is a fantastic home base!

Welcome to our Herb Cottage!

The Herb Cottage is located on a spacious area with trees, gardens, a pond, and hiking trail. Enter the Cottage to the living room with a dining table, comfy sofa/sleeper, and TV. The bedroom has a queen bed and TV. A convection double oven, cooktop, and dishwasher will cook a delicious meal. The breakfast room has a dining table and microwave. Setup your laptop in the office and relax in a comfortable work area. The "Vintage room" has a TV, washer/dryer, rockers, sofa/sleeper and the “loom”.

A cozy 2-bedroom apartment above Getaway Motor Cafe in historic downtown Carver, MN. Built in 1871, beautifully restored, with a Nordic Modern warmth that makes you want to stay a little longer. Cared for by Luke and Beka. Jøtul fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable queen beds, heated bathroom floors, and private balcony over the creek. The space is the entire lower level. Private entrance, heated floors, and ice-cold AC. Two smart T.V's, one in the bedroom and the living room. Well-stocked kitchenette and nice refrigerator. Plenty of space to cook, watch TV, work, or just rest. A nice grill and campfire space are provided. Pets are welcome.

Our parents built this darling 4-season cottage by hand in 1950. Lovingly preserved and recently refreshed, we now want to share our little red cottage on Lake Minnetonka with guests who want to enjoy a calm, relaxing suburban lake getaway. The cottage offers a lot, and yet because we're in a quiet neighborhood and live on the commons, the little red cottage is not a spot for parties, reunions, bigger groups, or people needing boat access.
