Soak in serene surroundings of Ohia trees and ornamental plant-life flooded with the sound of birds singing in the morning. Relax or sleep on a comfortable couch. You will love staying in this super clean and comfortable Cottage.

Located on the grounds of our 1930s plantation house, in the heart of historic Volcano Village, The Maid's Quarters cottage is within walking distance of all village shops and restaurants, and just a few minutes drive from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Surrounded by orchids and other tropical flowers, the cottage is located on two lovely landscaped acres - 30 minutes from Hilo or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The property is solar powered, an off-grid sustainable system with 4G phone service and fiber optic wifi. The last two miles are on unpaved gravel road in variable condition depending upon how much rain we've had lately. Four wheel drive isn't necessary but an SUV or similar vehicle with higher clearance is recommended.

You’ll love the coziness, privacy, high ceilings, loft, full kitchen, wood burning stove, and two-person tub. This house was built by my grandfather 30 years ago, and has retained the charm and warmth that he crafted into this cozy cottage.
